A mix of our favourite colours. Strawflowers are one of our best sellers as a fresh cut flower and dried flower. Dual purpose and the most gorgeours colours, what's not to love? Keep cutting and they keep producing.

Helichrysum bracteatum

Annual

Sow: Spring, summer

Spacing: 20-30cm in final growing position

Site: Full Sun

Growing: Sow in cells or trays. Surface sow onto moist seed raising mix, light is needed for germination.

Keep seed moist.  Water from underneath until seeds have sprouted.

Plant out once risk of frost has passed.

Pinching out the main growing tip will encourage the plant to grow into a fuller, bushy plant.

Height: 50cm+

Harvesting: Pick when the flowers have 2-3 layers of petals open for drying.

For fresh flowers, pick before they have been pollinated.
